Method of Statement for HOARDING & VISUAL Installation (Indoor and/or Outdoor)

PHASE 1 (ON-SITE ARRANGEMENT)

Lorry & workers reach onsite

  1. Worker(s) to change working pass at security counter before start any work

  2. Check onsite for dilapidation items and snap pictures for record

Unload all materials and equipment from lorry

  1. Unload material and equipment from lorry and place on trolley prepared by HG for mobilization of material and equipment to working site

Barricade temporary storage area onsite

  1. Place all equipment and material inside temporary storage area

4

Barricade work area and floor protection on common walkway area (if require)

  1. Place barricade cone around work area c/w safety signage (if require)

  2. Install floor protection with canvas (if require)

PHASE 2 (WORK IN PROGRESS)

Prepare ladder for working at height

  1. Use ladder for narrow area

  2. Use 3 point contact.

Erect scaffold (if require)

  1. Identify and setting up scaffold area with safety barricade

  2. Placement of scaffold material within safety barricade area

  3. Scaffold erect according to mobile tower scaffold drawing submission to site management

  4. Scaffold inspection by competent scaffolder (Level 1, JKKP Scaffold Certificate Holder) to endorse with green tag on-site on weekly basis (Pictures taken for record keeping)

Hoarding marking after on-site measurement checking

  1. Laser lining machine (night) or string measuring method (day) use to setup hoarding alignment and set hoarding marking placement which follow hoarding drawing that’s been approved

Hoarding with OR without concrete counterweight installation(Building Façade Hoarding)

  1. Hoarding panel put on floor within barricaded area / working site for board joining with screw

  2. Joined hoarding panel push up from floor and place within laser lining shown.

  3. Additional hoarding panel install as either “T” or “L” shape to combine with existing standing hoarding panel as temporary stand structure

  4. Top hoarding panel to be screw by having 2 workers on scaffold OR ladder to hold and screw to join the panel

  5. Continue to joined (screw) the hoarding with new hoarding panel until the whole hoarding structure complete

  6. IF WITHOUT CONCRETE COUNTERWEIGHT, 1ft timber structure to stick with double side tape to place on floor as support THEN screw the bottom part to hoarding to this timber structure

  7. IF WITH CONCRETE COUNTERWEIGHT, installation of slanted timber structure support with timber frame as base to put on concrete counterweight (For safety measure to install at hoarding height exceed 4.5m, external area hoarding OR area expose to wind load)

  8. Wall plug on floor installation with screw to screw the hoarding structure to floor (IF REQUIRED AND APPROVED BY BUILDING MANAGEMENT)

  9. Installation of swing or sliding door for hoarding area access

Hoarding with scaffold structure installation (Building Façade Hoarding with Scaffold Structure, hoarding height exceed 8 meters)

  1. SCAFFOLD STRUCTURE INSTALLATION

    1. Floor protection installation within the hoarding area after site marking (canvas & plywood)

    2. Soft (timber) board placement on the scaffold installation location which act as base

    3. Scaffold placement on soft (timber) board and join with “X” bracing and continue until 1st tier complete according to initial hoarding marking

    4. Installation of scaffold only by competent scaffolder

    5. The 2nd tier, scaffolder climb above 1st tier and compulsory with safety harness to lock at scaffold, with “buddy system” to pass material and equipment to scaffolder above.

    6. Continue the same process like 1st tier to join scaffold with “X” bracing with additional “catwalk” or platform placement on the whole scaffold surface as walking platform

    7. Continue the same process to 3rd and 4th tier and so on until complete. Stair to place on the scaffold for each tier by following approved drawing.

    8. The wall or box tie on top of scaffold structure to install according to approved drawing.

  2. Hoarding panel put on floor within barricade area/working site for board joining with screw

  3. Joined hoarding panel push up from floor according to workable sizes and place on scaffold structure. Workers within the scaffold area to screw the hoarding panel with metal strap which tie to scaffold tube.

  4. The process continues until the reachable hoarding height complete.

  5. By using mobile tower scaffold and “buddy system”, material pass to above worker(s) for hoarding panel installation and tie & screw to scaffold structure.

  6. Continue to joined (screw) the hoarding with new hoarding panel until the whole hoarding structure complete

  7. Top roof hoarding will be install flat horizontal marine plywood whereby additional canvas/tarpaulin installation as extra layer as roof for minimize water access into the whole hoarding which erected (if require)

Hoarding tarpaulin visual installation

  1. MINIMUM 2 WORKER(S) REQUIRED

  2. For tarpaulin installation, worker to move up to ladder OR scaffold to reach top hoarding by carrying along the tarpaulin edge to staple the top part tarpaulin to the top part of the hoarding

  3. After the stapling part at the top, adjustment on the bottom area by pulling the tarpaulin to make sure the visual firm & smooth and to staple after that

  4. The process continues until complete

  5. Hot gun use to smoothen the wrinkled part of the tarpaulin visual (if require)

  6. Installation of aluminium skirting as hoarding visual frame to cover the stapler which stapled the visual tarpaulin from public visibility

PHASE 3 (WORK INSTALLATION COMPLETE)

Testing

  1. Test the sturdiness of the hoarding after complete installation by pushing frontward and backward in mild force

  2. If not sturdy, additional screw, tie & structure to install

Packing up

  1. Packing up balance material and equipment to store at temporary storage area OR take back to lorry

Clean up

  1. To clean up all debris onsite after completed the hoarding installation

  2. To make sure no debris left onsite after hoarding completed installation (Example: screw, timber, plywood etc)

14

Snap pictures for reporting

  1. To snap pictures of completed hoarding and working area for record and report preparation
